Mark II |
 |
There’s always a bigger fish. And there’s a always a bigger boat. In the case of the Linssen series, that boat is the Linssen Variotop® 500 Mark II. She’s our most advanced addition to the range, and she clearly stands head and shoulders above every other boat in her class. In fact, we’d venture to say that she’s the most luxurious production-built steel boat in the world.
The Linssen Variotop 500 Mark II is our way of taking everything that’s great about Grand Sturdy travel and pushing it to the max. The result is a 50 ft (14.95 x 4.85 m) work of art. One that brings a new level of visual power and cruising comfort to the waterways. Yet one that still stays true to the Linssen tradition.
Interior
The interior is an important factor when it comes to the value of a boat. What's important is not how many different lay-outs a boatbuilder can offer its customers, but how well the available space and volume are used. In other words, intelligence and craftsmanship are important ingredients when designing a boat's interior. For Linssen, a comfortable stay on board means that all members of the crew can move about easily, that they have sufficient privacy, and that the facilities satisfy today's standards of convenience.
For example, the light-drenched saloon has ample seating for everyone and a spacious dinette with enough room to share a hearty breakfast, a tasty lunch or a four-course dinner together. The beds are roomy and ensure a good night's sleep in spacious, well-appointed cabins. An elegant interior should also offer enough storage space where it is most required, and that means conveniently placed lockers, clothing lockers, shelves and drawers, all of which go to increasing the level of comfort and convenience.
The third cabin to port between the forecabin and the saloon can also be set up as an office or study. An L-shaped, ergonomically designed tabletop gives you the space you need to keep your books and papers in order. If you find yourself pulling an all-nighter, just crawl into the bunk above the desk. You'll love the convenience, and so will your kids, who can play computer games here without disturbing you. Of course, you can always decide to have this two-person cabin fitted out with a "standard" bunk berth.

Variotop®
The Linssen Variotop® 500 Mark II is a boat that will not be ignored. For a start, her powerful profile is sure to turn heads whereever she goes. We’d still argue, though, that her message is subtle, not flashy. She’s for the discerning few who appreciate the difference between cruising and posing.
No one would blame you for staring at the Linssen Variotop® 500 Mark II. But if you truly want to get a taste of the ultimate motor cruising experience, we suggest you stop staring and start steering. Get behind the wheel of the 500 Mark II and you’ll quickly understand why she’s the jewel of the range.
Unlike other models, the 500 Mark II features a spacious deck saloon with the unique Linssen Variotop. One touch of a button, and the entire wheelhouse is covered up by a hydraulically-operated ‘cabrio’-top.
